The bored in bikinis hotties. I love this stuff. I think that shitty show called G talk in M TV with those bimbettes, shambhavi and anmol was based on this, although they weren’t wearing bikinis of course.
Theses air-brained bikini models have nothing for brains but make up for it with their amazingly toned, white face and bodies. It’s crazy how obsessed we are with looks and outward appearances. When I ask my male friends how they want their women to be, its maddening to hear “oh well, she should be hot of course, must be wearing a little black/red dress with her cleavage showing, her hair should be straight and shiny, she must be capable of holding a conversation, if not, she should just be ultra feminine, well- groomed, beautiful blah blah blah” Basically everyone wants to date a bikini model. And of course it doesn’t matter that the men in question are sloppy, either over-weight or stick thin, awkward- around -women and oh are they well groomed?. Yeah, right. They are not.
So when I watch these videos, I lament at the standards our society has created which everyone is expected to follow. It has come down to make-up, being size-zero and wearing skimpy clothes. Deny it all you want, but I do not think that it’s the age of the woman. It has in fact regressed more. In the name of surging ahead, the demure, sari- clad women who get picked by men as wives have been replaced by size zero models that prance. . I say it’s regressed because it has gone from describing women as ‘weddable’ to’ beddable‘. All women are expected to be perfect with no flaw in sight. A little extra fat is blasphemous and girls with pimples or any other skin affliction are just written off. I recently read a blog where this guy stated coolly that he was eyeing a hottie and didn’t realize until later that there was another girl with her. It seems he and his friends thought she was a ‘dark cloud’ but later realized that she was a girl. And oh don’t even get me started on the age-old ‘fair and lovely’ image. *barfs at the word ‘fair’*
I have often been called a staunch feminist who can never ever call anyone ugly even if she is actually ‘a cow’... Seriously, I cringe at such derogatory terms used for women. I strongly believe that every woman is beautiful. If you don’t care enough to spot her beauty, you probably haven’t matured enough.
Enough idealistic talk. Enjoy the video and laugh at the supposed joke ‘we girls needn’t have brains, only a good figure is enough’.
You are right. I do not love this stuff although I said I do in the first line.

very true.. we are such filthy hypocrites( by we i mean all the men of course). and an article of this nature further underlines the fact that, age is not just a number, and u my friend are in the truest sense living it.. great going
i dont agree. when a guy is lookin for a gf, may be he needs a babe. bt when it comes to a life partner, i know ppl who say strictly "no babes". looks aren't everything... jes open d eyes, there are lotsa couples where one is blessed n the other isn't with the so called apparent beauty.
i guess u r making a very biased point.
nyways this is worth a thought.
girlfriend should be a babe and the life partner need not be..
say no more my friend

exactly the reason why men are hypocrites!
@arps
exactly!
I don't believe everyone woman is beautiful. I think some are downright ugly. Why is it so hard to say? I have ugly friends and pretty friends and it's no big deal. If a guy wants you for how good u look, then he's shallow and stupid and i don't want him anyway :)
LOL! I didn't know such programs exist! Thanks for introducing. I watched the reality show one and business magazine one just now. Funny!
Its like Beavis and Butthead, Dumb and Dumber, or Ed Edd and Eddy! But even better - the characters are female - and in bikini!!
Why you turned it into such a serious thing? The program is satirical. In real life, those two models may even be having IQ 150 (I don't mean combined IQ)
And anyways - humans aren't ideal. That involves men as well as women.
If men look at women's body figure, and want the number as less as possible (Although I feel size 0 is ugly. Wouldn't I just go a branch of a tree instead of a size 0 female stick?), women too look at men's salary figue and want the number as high as possible :P
Besides, you also aren't above judging the opposite sex by physical looks.
//it doesn’t matter that the men in question are sloppy, either over-weight or stick thin, awkward- around -women and oh are they well groomed?. Yeah, right. They are not.
Did you mention anything in the vein of are intelligent enough, sensitive enough, etc?
No.
So your preachy can also be judged as hypocisy. But I won't.
Such generalized discussion on genders is quite silly. Every person has individual subtle as well as glaring differences from the stereotype image of their gender :P
I'll go watch some more episodes on YouTube now. Yay!!!!!!!!
looks ain't everything..! wat really matters is how u r from the inside.. but hey, that doesn mean u don respect beauty.. !!!!
if u still ponder over things such as 'men r such hypocrites' n blah.. i think u haven matured enough.. wake up... nature cudn have gone so wrong.. there's a reason for every behavioral pattern.. this one i'd wish be tacit between us lady... ;)
if u think men r hypocrites u shud ask urself how many real ones u've met..
lastly,
"Such generalized discussion on genders is quite silly."
@stupidosaur
yes i know the programs are satirical. i ve personally watched 50 episodes of xiaxue's 'guide to life' videos and i am a huge fan of her ultra-glamorous looks and brains [do check her out on youtube :)]
i do not look at a man's salary figure. nor do many self-dependent women i know. so u too shouldn't generalize.
by the statements i made about the stick thin/ sloppy over wt guys. they were guys who said they wanted to date the bleached blonds and called any slightly flawed woman a 'cow'.
this post is directed towards the men (i see all around me) who are obviously obsessed with physical beauty disturbingly too much.
yes they haven't matured enough.
@aravind
i totally respect beauty. i think the women in bikinis are perfect physically. I even have lesbian dreams about them. ;)
no. really.
Yes i may not have met real men. i totally agree. :)
"if u still ponder over things such as 'men r such hypocrites' n blah.. i think u haven matured enough.. wake up... nature cudn have gone so wrong.. there's a reason for every behavioral pattern"
ok.. i could go on a lot about the behavioural patterns.
Dude. This is exactly what i am trying to say in the post. this detestable 'behaviour pattern'. why is the behaviour pattern so disturbing? i'll give u some examples. pardon me if i am being overtly feminist here. i have often been accused of being so.
1:chetan bhagat saying in his book, something on the lines of "why doesn't god make all women beautiful? why doesn't He realize that we men like women in a certain way and then make them all the same"?
such sentences make me nauseous. what does he effing mean by that? he is such a prize and no buck- teethed, pimpled, short, squat girl ever has a chance of falling in love or being loved? (just using standard 'ugly' adjectives here. nothing personal against those traits)
2:why should a woman be so objectified? why should she be beautiful always? why should she wear uncomfortable stilletos, have straight hair and a perfect figure to be subconsciously worshipped by men (blaming the behaviour pattern. yes men automatically respect and adore such women and take a while to learn to respect 'ugly' women. ). why cant a woman go to her workplace after a night of work with scraggly hair and un-taken care of skin and a groggy look just like any other groggy, unshaven man without being judged?
for the third example: look at manjit's comment above.
i know i am being judgemental and generalizing things. thats because of the disturbing number of men who ve displayed this behaviour pattern around me.
i see your point of view too and point noted. :)
That Stupidosaur had commented, and apparently in earnest is a reward to say the least! :)
I'm actually shocked by your male friends' honesty! :P I think, either I've been in a very unconventional place, or different set of pretences are in vogue where I live! ;)
In the circles I've interacted, hardly any guys concede wanting a hot, but otherwise good-for-nothing female (as far as other traits like intelligence, compassion, maturity, etc. are concerned) as their girlfriend or wife.
Also most of the people I know do not make such strong distinction between GF and wife. Ideally, they at least state, they'd like to marry their GF. But this may also have more to do with the age. Those below 20 are unlikely to talk of marriage, and above 20, likely to.
And as I see it, most of the above things are lies! :)
And let me give you the most honest, frank opinion possible.
1. Attraction. Instinctive attraction is totally subconscious. People get attracted to different colors--some like pink, some violet. Some like sweet taste some sour. Some like vanilla flavor, some chocolate. There are very few sensations that are universally liked or disliked alike. But there are still strong uniform tendencies. A minority of people find sweet taste coy, but a vast majority like it, so much so that even 'nice' behavior is called sweet.
Extremely few people like bitter taste, again so much so that bad experiences are called 'bitter'.
But we're alright with these prejudices, right? Why? 'cuz they concern inanimate objects! Vanilla ice cream won't feel bad if I select chocolate flavor in a shop! ;) I think you must've started to get the drift.
Yes unfortunately, all humans are born with preferences towards other humans. These may be discouraged/reinforced by the society. Males are liked for their deep voice. Isn't this a prejudice? Lata Mangeshkar's voice would be considered melodious, but Rani Mukherjee's irritating. But after all, just like looks, voice is a 'superficial' (not indicative of the person's intelligence, maturity) factor, right? But we adjudicate one to be better than the other! Would you hate someone with 'bad' voice liking former's voice more? Now try to apply same logic to looks.
Don't think if a guy finds a girl with fair skin attractive, it's because of social conditioning! It's the primal most instinct! Same with certain geometrical shapes and contours that go into making a 'figure'...

...Is this attraction right?
We cannot even begin to talk of it being right/wrong 'cuz it's not volitional!
But yes, what is wrong is unfair treatment meted out to someone on the basis of traits a person is born with/can't help. 'cuz then it (in my opinion) constitutes irrational discrimination. And skin color, skin quality, voice, etc. definitely fall in that category. Maybe, not so much figure, but definitely, a person's height.
And I disrespect people who discriminate thus. And if such discrimination falls under the purview of law, like in job selections, promotions, and if possible to prove should definitely be dealt with strictly.
But I do not get very angry at people who get too influenced by 'external' factors (appearance, voice, accent, gait, handwriting, physical strength, familial affluence, mother tongue, gender(!), eye color, smile, kind of laughter--once an Ayn Rand-'fan' told me I should 'try' to laugh in more 'masculine' manner and my next burst of laughter was at her, hair color), all of which are almost nonvolitional, and hardly give any idea of what a 'person' is like. Why? 'cuz in some ways, by being prejudiced, they're losing out of something an 'inadequate' person could be possessing.
2. Personal level. I would be lying, if I'd say I don't get sexually attracted to 'hot chicks'. But what I absolutely consciously avoid is being unfair! Especially being unfair, where the person concerned did not have a choice with their attributes.
And somehow, if the strength of my disgust or attraction at people's choices is much greater than for their 'inborn' traits (as you saw in 'pink chaddis'-post). But I also don't know if this ability of mine is inborn or acquired! ;) So for me to avoid being prejudiced in the sense I explained is easy.
In choosing (apart from liking :) ), my life partner, I'll unfortunately have to indulge in intellectual exercise, rather than giving in to instinctive responses of 'attraction'. It'll be akin to making a scoresheet of individual 'good' and 'bad' qualities, and how significant these qualities are. I'd value a slightly more intelligent girl much more than a girl slightly better looking than the first, for instance. Basically, for me looks would come on 5th or 6th position after traits like intellience, clarity of thoughts, honesty, etc. But this too is prejudice! Not all of these qualities are free of genetic and 'parental' factors!...
...Basic logic is very simple. Everyone who likes person 'A' with certain traits is going to miss out on the traits 'A' does not possess. And if that person dislikes 'B' then is going to miss out on traits possessed by B.
Everyone makes choices with this subconscious knowledge, and if they don't possess this knowledge even subconsciously, then, they're not making full use of being humans, so it's all about what (traits/attributes--whether acquired or congenital) we 'want'/'need' as against what we can 'do away with'. Some make choices that keep them immensely satisfied for their whole lives, some are driven to suicide, and a majority end up liking the neighbor's wife! :P Okay to be completely 'fair', also some or the other 'hunk'. So sit back, and ENJOY!
I hope I could add something to your understanding of the World!
TC.
PS: At many points, I must've jumped along the chain of logic and do let me know if you need any clarifications at any point, I'd be more than glad.
I felt that you put my own thoughts about unfair discrimination but are defending it at some levels because such instincts are not volitional.
I'll repeat myself here, i know these instincts are not volitional but i also think its no excuse to call women 'cows' and write them off completely. (yes, i live in such circles and i've seen it happen) people should spend more time analysing before they pass judgments based on external traits or something as trivial.
i've read somewhere that primary school teachers instinctively like good looking children and develop an instinctive dislike towards not so good looking children. such things sadden me to no extent. imagine prejudices for such young children for things those kids have no control over. yes i have seen this happen in my school days too and i think its disgusting. of course its not too glaring, but it happens and i have seen the subtle better treatment of more attractive people too much.
yes such instincts are not voluntary, but after an awareness about these going-ons i find myself consciously looking past just looks. i just think others should do that too.
